Résumé

La compréhension de la cognition dans le sport a connu une transformation significative ces dernières décennies, passant de modèles internalistes, fondés sur le traitement de l'information, à des perspectives plus larges reconnaissant le rôle constitutif de l'environnement, du corps et des outils matériels et sociaux dans le fonctionnement cognitif. Le concept de cognition élargie, articulé avec les théories des systèmes dynamiques complexes et les approches énactives et écologiques, offre un cadre théorique solide pour comprendre l'action et la prise de décision dans des contextes très complexes, tels que le sport. Cet article vise à examiner en profondeur les fondements théoriques et épistémologiques de la cognition élargie appliquée au sport, en mettant l'accent sur son interface avec les systèmes dynamiques, la cognition, la métacognition et la régulation. Les implications de la métacognition en tant que mécanisme de surveillance et de contrôle adaptatifs sont discutées, ainsi que son articulation avec les régimes de stabilité et de métastabilité dans les systèmes non linéaires. L'objectif est de fournir une base conceptuelle solide pour intégrer la cognition élargie, la dynamique complexe et les processus de régulation, préparant ainsi le terrain pour l'analyse ultérieure des dimensions émotionnelles et décisionnelles qui seront explorées plus en détail dans la seconde partie de ce travail.
