Relación entre las actitudes hacia el dopaje, la pasión y la fortaleza mental en jóvenes atletas de deportes individuales

Analizar la relación entre Actitudes de Dopaje, Pasión y Fortaleza Mental en atletas de deportes individuales. MÉTODOS: Participaron 251 atletas de deportes individuales, con una edad media de 18,3 ± 2,9 años; participantes de diferentes niveles competitivos (internacional, nacional y estatal). Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala de Actitudes de Mejora del Rendimiento, la Escala de Pasión y la Escala de Fortaleza Mental. El análisis de datos se realizó utilizando la prueba de Shapiro-Wilk, la prueba U de Mann-Whitney, la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis, el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman y el análisis de redes (LASSO). RESULTADOS: Se encontró una diferencia significativa en el tiempo de experiencia y las horas de entrenamiento (p<0,01) entre hombres y mujeres, y en las horas de entrenamiento en función de la remuneración (p<0,01). Se encontraron correlaciones positivas significativas (p<0,01) entre los niveles competitivos y los años de experiencia (r=0,53) y las horas de entrenamiento (r=0,54); La pasión obsesiva se correlacionó positivamente (p<0,01) con la pasión armoniosa (r=0,30) y la robustez mental (r=0,30); mientras que las actitudes hacia el dopaje mostraron una correlación inversa significativa (p<0,05) con la pasión armoniosa (r=-0,16) y la robustez mental (r=-0,14). El análisis de redes reveló correlaciones significativas entre las actitudes hacia el dopaje y el estado de remuneración (r=0,07), la pasión armoniosa (r=-0,07), la robustez mental (r=-0,05) y el nivel competitivo (r=-0,01). CONCLUSIÓN: Los niveles más altos de pasión armoniosa y robustez mental pueden estar relacionados con actitudes menos favorables al dopaje, o menos permisivas con respecto a su uso en el deporte; por otro lado, recibir un salario o ayuda financiera para la práctica deportiva tuvo una relación positiva con las actitudes hacia el dopaje, posiblemente porque algunos atletas se sintieron más presionados para presentar buenos resultados para preservar su fuente de ingresos.
