Relations entre la santé mentale, le comportement alimentaire et l'activité physique chez les étudiants universitaires

Résumé

La vie universitaire représente une période de transformations intenses qui affectent le bien-être physique et émotionnel des étudiants. Cette étude visait à passer en revue la littérature scientifique sur les liens entre les symptômes d'anxiété et de dépression, l'exercice physique et les choix alimentaires chez les étudiants. La recherche a été menée dans la base de données PubMed, en utilisant la population, le concept et le contexte pour structurer la question de recherche. Des descripteurs MESH et des termes libres ont été utilisés pour la recherche, ainsi que les opérateurs booléens OR et AND. Les études ont été exportées vers le logiciel Rayaan, puis les titres et résumés ont été lus pour la sélection. Sur les 79 articles récupérés, 14 études ont été incluses dans cette revue, publiées entre 2018 et 2025, avec des méthodologies et des contextes socioculturels différents. Les résultats indiquent que des niveaux élevés de stress, d'anxiété et de dépression sont associés à des habitudes alimentaires désorganisées, à une consommation accrue d'aliments ultra-transformés et à une activité physique réduite. Le comportement alimentaire émotionnel, l'insatisfaction corporelle et la sédentarité étaient récurrents, les inégalités de genre étant particulièrement marquées. Des lacunes méthodologiques ont été identifiées, notamment la prédominance des études transversales et l'utilisation d'instruments autodéclarés. La conclusion est que l'intégration de la santé mentale, de la nutrition et de l'éducation physique est essentielle à l'élaboration de stratégies intersectorielles visant à promouvoir la santé des élèves.
