THE CULTURE AS INHERITANCE AND THE LIFE AS CULTURE: ARGUMENTS OF SENSES IN THE CITY OF CIDADE DE GOIÁS - AN INHERITANCE OF THE HUMANITY

Abstract

The focus of the present work is the Goiás city and its representations done through material and immaterial elements of the culture. It presents aspects for understand the symbolic multiple existence in the geographical space. “Goiás Velho” and its identitary are inserted in its transformation in historical inheritance of the humanity. The process of appropriation through the creation of national and international events as International Festival of Environmental Cinema (FICA) – transforms the morphology of the city and its value. Even so, is possible to see in the voices of the people that they lived and they survive in “Goiás Velho” the ‘roots’ of the culture from Goiás, the traditions, like the “Procissão do Fogaréu”. The poetic reading done by Cora Coralina, it is one most important to understand the culture taken root in the valley of the “Serra Dourada”. The presented characteristics serve of subsidy to understand that the place is disputed from different intentions and social components, like the property market, the political appropriations, the net of hotel management, the great markets and events. All these aspects challenge the management of the historical inheritance. Finally, set of elements for shared management for this type of space will be presented. Key words: Historical Heritage.
