Historical-cultural theory and its implications on the scholar physical educations teacher’s work

Abstract
This article presents a theoretical search and aims to introduce the main categories of historical-cultural theory and discuss its implications for the physical education teacher’s work inside the school and also emphasizes this theory and its methodological proposal as an important way to build the scholar physical education in a critical perspective aiming to change the school and the students conscious and personality. The Vigotskian school of human development it is taken as an important reference to understand the scholars in their vital process of development and helps the teachers in general, and physical education teachers in specific, to consider the activity (vital activity) as important instrument to get the humanization and liberty of human being, inside the school and inside the contemporary society.

    Possui doutorado em Educação (Psicologia da Educação) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2005), mestrado em Educação (Psicologia da Educação) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2001), graduação em Licenciatura e Bacharelado em Psicologia pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997), graduação em Licenciatura em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1990). Atualmente é professor do Departamento de Educação Física da UNESP-Presidente Prudente/SP. Tem experiência em graduação na área de Psicologia, com ênfase em Psicologia da Educação, Psicologia do Desenvolvimento e Psicologia Social e na área da Educação Física em Educação Física Escolar, Psicomotricidade, Crescimento e Desenvolvimento Humano, além de experiência em Metodologia de pesquisa social e Metodologia de ensino em Atividades e Esportes Aquáticos; realiza estágios supervisionados nas respectivas áreas e ênfases. Tem experiência na realização de trabalhos coletivos, jogos interativos e cooperativos e dinâmicas de grupo enfatizando a construção do processo grupal e a consciência coletiva. Desenvolve pesquisa teórica em Educação, Psicologia da Educação, Educação Física e Educação Física Escolar e Pesquisa ação-intervenção em escolas de educação infantil, ensino fundamental e médio, instituições sócio-educativas e de assistência social, assim como em comunidades urbanas e em movimentos sociais.
