Adventure Sport and environment: preserving dimension in the consumption society

Abstract
It is possible to notice a narrow relation between adventure and nature sport, since the environment is presented like scenary for the achievement of modalities of the referred sporting segment, stirring up an interaction between the practitioner and the respective environment. In the preserving aspect, if on one hand it is possible to have a positive look regarding this interaction of the man with the nature through the practice of the adventure sport, on another this trial deserves attention, once the adventure sport is settled under the logical of the consumption society. This way it is possible to affirm that the practices of the adventure sport can cause to a determined environment natural environmental impact that, depending on the quality of the intervention developed there, it can be configured as positive or negative to the natural environment where it is practiced.

Especialista em Orientaçao Educacional pelas Faculdades Integradas de Jacarepaguá (2002). Especialista em Educação pela Universidade Federal de viçosa (2005).
