The worked body and the body of work: considerations on the manual worker's body

Abstract
The goal of this article is contribute to the body of physical education literature by looking at the manual worker's body, a body configured by roughness and need. I will briefly discuss intervention practices, such as academies and sporting centers, commonly used to shape bodies. Additionally, I will establish a parallel between these bodies and the manual worker's body, the result of the performance of labor. As an analysis, I'll begin by looking through the prism of the human sciences, which, in my opinion, is an area that hasn't been explored relative to the field of physical education.
