About the Journal
The BRAZILIAN JOURNAL OF SPORT PSYCHOLOGY & HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (BJSPHD) is the result of the joint efforts of two institutions that, throughout their history, have distinguished themselves in the production of knowledge and the development of solid practices in the field: the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Sport Psychology (LEPESPE), at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Institute of Biosciences, Rio Claro, and the Brazilian Association for Studies in Sport and Exercise Psychology (ABEPPEx).
It is interdisciplinary in nature, focusing on the areas of Sport Psychology and Human Development, including their relationship with technology and new media. We encourage the publication of works covering topics ranging from school Physical Education to high-performance sports, from childhood to aging, and the broad areas of the Human Sciences, focusing on human movement and its nuances.
This is a continuously published journal, fully available in digital format and with free access. The journal adopts an Open Access policy, ensuring broad dissemination and democratization of scientific knowledge.
BJSPHD uses the OJS (Open Journal Systems) system for its publication and is hosted on the Journal Portal of the Library of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Institute of Biosciences, Rio Claro, which provides the infrastructure for the journal to operate.
Current Issue
It is with great satisfaction that we present another volume of the Brazilian Journal of Sport Psychology & Human Development (BJSPHD). This edition brings together contributions that reflect the thematic diversity and increasing complexity of research in the field of Sport Psychology and Human Development, reaffirming the journal's commitment to rigorous, critical, and socially relevant scientific production.
The works published here address phenomena that cross different contexts of human development and performance. Issues related to motivation, flow state, psychological resilience, and cognitive processes are discussed from different theoretical and methodological perspectives, broadening the understanding of the factors that influence adaptation, performance, and well-being in sporting environments. In parallel, studies focused on mental health, quality of life, and physical exercise reinforce the importance of integrated approaches to promoting human development in different populations.
This edition also broadens the dialogue between Psychology, Education, and society by addressing contemporary themes such as the interaction between teachers and students in contexts mediated by digital social networks and the construction of sports practices based on values of cooperation, respect, and integral development. Furthermore, by including research with Paralympic athletes and athletes in combat sports, the volume reaffirms the importance of understanding the diversity of human experiences in the contexts of sports practice.
Taken together, the published articles demonstrate a scientific field committed not only to understanding performance but also to the psychological, social, and cultural processes that constitute the human experience. We hope that the reflections presented here will contribute to the advancement of knowledge, foster new debates, and strengthen the dialogue between research, training, and professional practice.
