We present the results and discussions from a master thesis research in Geography that analyzes the territorialization processes of the Kaimbé Indigenous ethnic group in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo (MRSP), focusing on the village-city flow, with an emphasis on migration dynamics, identity, and resistance in an urban context. Thus, we investigate the movement of territorial reclamation and ethnic affirmation of the Kaimbé population by considering participatory research, interviews with Kaimbé leaders, and the collection of geographic and demographic data. The analysis brings together theoretical perspectives on the concept of territory in geography and counter-colonial epistemologies, highlighting the networked actions of Indigenous subjects, such as in the case of the Multiethnic Village 'Filhos desta Terra' (Guarulhos, SP), in connection with the Mother Village of Massacará (Euclides da Cunha, BA). We address the concept of structural racism, as well as the erasure of Indigenous identity by the Brazilian State and its relation to the migration of the Kaimbé people to the state of São Paulo.
